CANUCKS BANTER: Vancouver Visits Arizona Tonight To End Short Road Trip

Vancouver 3-0-1 On The Road, Have Yet To Lose In Regulation Play


The Canucks enter the game smarting from a 4-3 OT loss to the Dallas Stars on October 29, 2015, ending their consecutive win streak on the road at 3-games.

Vancouver has lost 6 of its last 7-games (1-2-4).

On the positive side, the overtime loss and the one point, means Vancouver still has not lost in regulation play on the road, and sports a 3-0-1 record.

The Coyotes last game was a 6-0 loss on October 27 to the Boston Bruins, finishing off a 5-game road trip in which they were 2-2-1. Tonight’s game is the first of a 3-game home stand for Arizona, who are 1-2-0 at Gila River Arena.

Neither Brandon Prust nor Dan Hamhuis are with the Canucks for the two game road trip. Brandon Prust was scheduled for an MRI on his injured left ankle Tuesday. Dan Hamhuis (lower body) is being evaluated. Defenseman Alex Biega and forward Brendan Gaunce were recalled from Utica of the American Hockey League.

The Canucks are currently tied for 1rst-place, with Los Angeles, in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference with 12-points; 1-point ahead of Arizona, who are 1-point behind in3rd-place with 11-points. San Jose is currently in 4rth-place with 10-points. Los Angeles and San Jose all have a game in hand on Arizona.

Vancouver is among the top 13-teams in the NHL, and are tied for 6th best team in the league with their 12-points. The Montreal Canadians are the  top team with 18-points, with 1-loss and 9-wins, all wins in regulation play.

Daniel Sedin leads the Canucks in scoring with 8-points; Alex Burrows and Brandon Sutter are next with 7-points each, closely  followed by Brandon Prust with 5-points. Rookies Ben Hutton and Jared McCann, Jannik Hansen, and Henrik Sedin, Radim Vrbata, Alex Edler closely follow with 4-points each.

McCann tops Canucks in goals scored with 4-goals followed by Sutter and Vrbata with 3-goals each. Daniel Sedin leads Vancouver with 6-assists.

Martin Hanzal and rookie Max Domi lead the Coyotes in scoring with 10-points each. Mikkel Boedker and Anthony Duclair follow with 7-points each.

Duclair leads Arizona with 5-goals while Hanzal leads the Coyotes with 10-assists.
